How does the Brown Dust 2 damage formula work?

Damage is multiplicative: base ATK/MATK is multiplied by skill%, ATK buffs, Crit DMG, chains, amplification, property/element, and reduced by enemy DEF/RES, with rounding between steps. Stacking different buffs beats stacking one.

How many supports should a Brown Dust 2 team have?

Accepted Answer

Usually 2-3 supports plus 1-2 DPS. Because damage is multiplicative, a support that adds a new buff term scales the whole team more than another attacker would.

Can you mix physical and magic damage in one team?

Accepted Answer

No. An ATK buff only scales physical and a Magic ATK buff only scales magic, so a mixed team wastes buffs. Keep a team all-physical or all-magic.

How do chains work in Brown Dust 2?

Every hit adds a chain to the target, and each chain gives the next hit +10% damage. Use multi-hit skills before single-hit ones, then land your big nuke into the inflated multiplier.

Roughly 7,527 yellow, 2,152 blue and 755 red slimes cumulatively (about 1.5 million EXP) to take one character from level 1 to 100.
